17th early 18th century iron lighting device Burl base

This has seen many years of use . The shaft is forged lapped iron and driven into a Burl base which you can see the iron tang in the bottom. Measures 7 1/2 inches tall . Great age and patina. Top of socket originally was folded over and several burn out holes from age . This is a real 1600’s lighting piece from the 17th century .
